There’s something truly magical about Mayfield Park — the kind of place that feels like it was plucked from a storybook. Between the manicured florals, the lush green pathways, and the quiet ponds where peacocks wander freely, it’s easy to forget you’re still in the middle of Austin.

What I love most about photographing families like this one — especially during these in-between years — is the balance of playfulness and connection. There’s still that spark of childhood curiosity, but also glimpses of the young women they’re becoming. We didn’t rush or pose too much; instead, we wandered, chatted, and let the park work its quiet magic.

Mayfield Park is one of those places that always feels timeless — and so did this session. Just a mom and her girls, soaking up an Austin afternoon together in their own secret garden.
