Austin’s Changemakers: Yvette Flores

Women over 40 and their advice for younger women

Her advice for younger women:

“Be your authentic self, not who you think the world wants you to be. The more you do this, the more you attract the people in your life that are worth knowing.

Sometimes you’re meant to have multiple chapters (people) in your life that you can learn and grow from. With each one, write down the good values that you like/seek, this will help you manifest those things more in the future.

Always go with your gut feeling. How many times do you find out it’s right?

Give and you’ll get back in return. Plus, it makes your heart happy.

Love deeply, madly, passionately. You are like a tuning fork, you only get what you give.

Laugh every day. It’s good for your heart, your cortisol levels, and your abs.

Say THE THING. I found myself holding back in prior relationships to keep the peace. Now, when I hesitate, I just say it, we talk about it and it’s done.

Spend money on moisturizer, and moisturize twice a day.

Don’t let anyone dull your sparkle.”

“Melanie, the photos are gorgeous!!! Thank you so much for capturing me in my beautiful new “me” space! You’re so super talented! I will cherish these and this time forever!!! Maybe this is a new niche; we work so hard to “Nest”, it’s important to capture ourselves in that moment.” -Yvette
